| The Cumming Parks
and Recreation Board meets monthly to discuss community
events such as our Spring Egg Hunt, Harvest Fall Picnic
and Santa Claus' visit in December. |

| In November of
2008, a pavilion was constructed at our new park located
next to City Hall on 44th Street. A fundraiser Ice Cream
Social is being planned in late spring of 2009 to help
us add items to this new park. |
|
| Our promotional
items have expanded from t-shirts only to additional
apparel and personal items. One of our most popular
items is the fantastic community cookbook, Cooking with
"Heart" from Cumming, Iowa, which is a perfect
gift for friends students and co-workers. All of our
current merchandise is available on this website or
at City Hall and other small businesses in Cumming. |

| Many volunteer
members have come and gone since 1988. Our current board
members are Cindi Neubauer - Chair, Jean Lare - Vice
Chair, Jill Stanford - Secretary, Gin Simpson, Lori
Boyd, Laura Hraha and Katie Tonelli. |

| The Parks and
Recreation Board serves at the discretion of the City
Council and Mayor of Cumming. We are here to promote
health, happiness and community in THE LITTLE TOWN WITH
THE BIG HEART. |
